School construction in Africa inspiration.
While a Pratt, I was part of AIAS organization. As a group of students we came together and designed a proposal for a school in Mali, Africa. We allocated months of researching the local tools, materials, logistics, context, history and other existing structures. We decided on a re-bar roof system that would provide shading and ventilation. We also arranged the classrooms in a manner where students can gather together in the central court yard in-between classes. Designing a school in Africa has been one of my goals. As a result of a civil war in 2012-2013, the project was unfortunately put on hold. However, the process and collaboration with other designers was a great experience in itself.
While at Shen Milsom & Wilke I made dozens of Revit families for various medical equipment.
I was coming up of an idea of how to combine the ‘CITI BIKES’ stations and public spaces. I was thinking of incorporating benches in front of the racks. Not only does this allow access to the bikes but creates a social space.

I attended Protohack back in November 2014 with my fellow classmates from General Assembly. As a group we worked on a ‘self destructing to-do list’. It was such fun experience working with these guys.

I went to the Zimmerli museum again. Seeing an exhibition on Russian art reminds me where it all started for me. I miss Russian art.
I recently worked on a UX Design Challenge for a software company. The task here was to redesign the user experience for a flight planning software. It was both challenging and interesting.
